A monitor fails its checks, an incident opens itself, and your status page shows it. The loop runs in nine seconds; in practice a monitor past its first check needs two failed checks in a row, normally one interval apart.

Public Status Pages
A public status page on your own stector.app subdomain, fed by the same checks. When a monitor linked to the page goes down, an incident opens and the page shows it, with no manual step. While a maintenance window that lists that monitor is in progress, no incident opens for it automatically. Visitors can subscribe to incident and maintenance emails. SSL Certificate Monitoring
Checks certificate expiry. Set how many days ahead you want a warning, and you'll be alerted once a day inside that window. Warnings are off until you set the days.
REST API
A REST API. Create monitors from CI, post incident updates from a deploy script, and read run history into your own tools.
Email + Slack Alerts
Down and recovery alerts by email and Slack. What has to fail before you're paged.
